You’ll never guess what I’m going to make from this lovely elm log, just loaded onto the sawmill and canted off. Also, I work alone nowadays, but I kinda like wearing my new pandemic mask in the mill. There’s a lot of sawdust wafting around. Man glitter, I call it.

Today we’re observing icicles out the window at happy hour. This odd one formed before our eyes. How does this happen?

After three+ inches of rain, the woodlands pond is about the size of Lake Erie…

Harpsichords?!

Walnut door harps made to resemble harpsichords from the woodlands sawmill this year. On ours, if you slam the door to the correct time signature, you’ll hear Eroica!
