Maple tree cluster…we’re down to the mother trunk. We are working on it. And yes, we do have the rafters for the post and beam project! They are in the oven.

We got distracted by the end-grain of the silver maple logs. It’s art to us and we decided to make a batch of wood cookies. It’s a slow process the way we do it. The cookies get submerged in a solution of polyethylene glycol for months to displace water. Then they get air-dried crack free.
