Beautiful day for a walk in the woodlands…until we encountered this huge serpent. Projects are getting a little weird in the sawmill. Fifty library book sales sign stands featuring clothes pin technology! The woodlands motto is ‘work is play’ but today is an exception. Today play is play. The zipline carrier is re-installed for the new season. I pruned a tree that was shading the garden too much. And of course I carved the top foot or so into an owl. Just sayin. 150 feet of lacing and a final coat of varnish – another winter project completed! Perfect for sloth like relaxation.
Another rocking chair taking shape. The lacing is the hardest part. That’s for sure. The sawmill kiln re-purposed as a seed starter green house. Pepper seeds in ice cream cones! It’s the latest thing. I keep up. Sustained temps in the teens make for excellent pond hockey… Today we’re turning left over ceiling planks into baseboard molding. Because, ya know, we can.
