We took our final of the summer break off for a kayak adventure and it was good. Very good. Had help from the crew loading the kiln today with cherry boards. Sun’s out, fans are on, we’re baking. But still plenty of time for sipping… […] It’s wax-on time in the sawmill for some cherry logs. Got some special help today decorating the boring interior of the kiln, much needed work! Time to whack the locust tree that’s been hangin’ over the power line… This crew is already experienced in professional theater painting. And the sawmill kiln is like a black box theater without the theater, so perfect! Oh, and we have a long-standing family tradition of coloring on a sub-floor before the final floor is set… […] Who ya gonna call when ya need to re-sheet, re-seal, re-shingle, and re-stain a wood drying kiln? Thank you Dave Coverly for capturing the truth in the ‘Speed Bump’ cartoon! […] Another 25 Sunfish into the woodlands pond. All are happy. The Woodlands mink dances on very thin ice this spring. |
