Mom wants to build a dining table. So the crew is busy getting some cherry wood ready. They’re sealing end grain for the kiln. It’s a job that requires a smock…if you’re of a certain age and a certain proclivity. […] We harvested some cherry trees in the woodlands today and created some stumps good for viewing nature. The question now is…what does it become next? No school this afternoon…unless you count Gramie’s woodlands rowing school. 100+ year-old Basswood tree gave it up along the woodlands trail this week…kicked up an impressive root ball! It’s bike to work day tomorrow! So I made some bike stands in the sawmill. Ya know, for the staff and myself. Note – empty growler already strapped in for the next refill ride to the Grotto. At the woodlands, we’ve invented a hybrid new game. It combines CornHole and Flickin Chicken! Patent pending… It was a hard workin’ morning of tree planting at the woodlands. Afterwards…the reward: snacks and ‘Shawn the Sheep!’ |
