I was going to call it the Times Table. The second piece from the top is 2 times the first in length, the third is 3 times the first, etc. down to the eighth being 8 times the first. But the resident math teacher pointed out: no, it’s a simple 3(n) arithmetic sequence. So, there you have it – a 3(n) arithmetic sequence of black walnut pieces mounted on a wall at the headquarters.
