Made a display case at the sawmill. It’s for the ceremonial flag of a very good man. A very good friend. A Navy man and much more. R.I.P. Bill. We miss you. 11″ X 14″ X 16′ white ash cant. A thing of beauty to my eyes. We hadn’t even finished installing the Mother of all swing sets yet and it was already in play… Using a little of most every species in the woodlands, we now have a new wood shed! Tarp curtains in the fall… The solid black walnut coffee…er wine table is a ‘one-off’ at the Woodlands Sawmill. It’s from a wind blown tree that fell over the trail. The wood is beautiful and is left natural in the table with only a tung oil finish. Black Cherry trees occasionally give up a branch. Last year one fell on the trail, and while I was cutting the branch, I saw a bench. Now it’s added to the Woodlands Sawmill growing list of projects. I call it The Occasional Bench.
