We finished four of the handles and attached them to the tubes. I keep the boys separate from the chemical side of woodworking, but I thought I’d mention that the polyurethane type Gorilla glue works well for this sort of thing. The wood handles and steel shafts are eternally united. We’re working on the underbelly of the table today, reinforcing the playing field and while it’s upside down, we’re signing it. It’s a tradition.
Also, the boys are learning a new tool in case we need it. And by ‘new’ I mean a fourth-generation hand plane that was apparently purchased from Montgomery Ward Inc. Nothin but the best here…
